Our Bitcoin Standard

To operate on a Bitcoin standard is to make Bitcoin your unit of account. Our intention at Orenda Pastures is to direct the value we create for our community through the farming enterprise in the form of USD (or BTC) profit into a multi-signature self custody solution. We want to have more Bitcoin in our custody every week, month, year, or decade than we did the previous.

This is because we believe that on a long enough time horizon the market will continue to shift away from modern nation state fiat currencies like the United States Dollar and into alternative monetary assets that better meet their needs. In the information age, it's our best estimate that owning the most secure, decentralized, widely-distributed, and open source digital asset that cannot be controlled by any central authority will provide the best opportunity for maintaining sovereignty amongst the growing economic and geo-political uncertainty.

Our preference is to take the responsibility of becoming our own bank. To make a conscious decision to store our value in a money that cannot be corrupted by the centralized force of wealth extraction. For us, all this points to Bitcoin.
